Hello my name is Christy Hanson I am the owner/operator of Creative Adventures Child Care.  Creative Adventures Child Care is located in my home and utilizes a separate entrance. CACC has been in business for 15 years. I am married & we have 4 amazing children. They are 19, 17, 16, & 8 years of age. I truly enjoy caring for children & helping them learn, grow, & develop new skills.  I have  attained my CDA (Childhood Development Associate) and achieved National Accreditation through the NAFCC (National Association for Family Child Care) to help make Creative Adventures an enriching experience for all the age groups I care for. I have a very active family & we enjoy tennis, biking, boating, & other outdoor activities.  I also enjoy reading, shopping, gardening, & spending time with friends & family.

  • 17 years of experience as a licensed child care professional

  •  20 years of child care experience as a licensed child care provider, as a nanny, working in a child care center, & a Girl Scout camp counselor.

  • Currently on the board of directors for the Steele County Child Care Association

  • Previous board of directors members at Associated Preschool

  • I am a certified mentor through the MLFCCA (Minnesota licensed family child care association) to help raise the quality of care for providers throughout southern Minnesota

  • Attend at least 30 hours childcare training per year 

  • Certified in CPR/First Aid & keep certifications current 

  • Attend SUIDS (Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Syndrome) and ABH (Abusive Head Trauma) training annually. I also attend a 3 hour car seat safety training class as required.
